On September 7, 2003, my world caved in and my heart broke; I lost Bob. The days following led into weeks, with our families, friends, neighbors and co-workers giving me their support, time and most importantly their love. During one of these visits our dear friends Gordy & Connie Rudy mentioned the idea of a Memorial Scholarship in Bob's name. Thus, The Bob Hughes Memorial Scholarship Golf Outing became a reality. As the idea began to form into an actual event, Mike Faillace at Pebble Creek Golf Course led me by the hand, since I had no clue to the amount of planning needed to make this happen. Thank you to Mike, Denny, Jim, Mary and all the employees of Pebble Creek for making this event so successful. Please know that you all played a huge part in honoring Bob and making this outing a tribute to him. Bob touched so many lives and loved everyone, especially the kids he coached.
